The blurp below the picture says that they robes are ceremonial, but for what ceremony were they worn? It is an amazing picture for sure is there a date for it? Main interest on date is if it was during Chief Josephs life.

I did some digging and this is from the Spokane Daily Chronicle, October 29, 1936. I have to wonder where these robes are now. I hope they are still with the tribe and not in some museum somewhere. Amber Davis
