Tribal Government

Politically, the tribes living on the Colville Indian Reservation took advantage of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934 to form their own government. The Colville tribes approved a Constitution and By-laws on February 26, 1938. This constitution still acts as the basis for the current tribal government.
