The Ethnomathematics and Basketry curriculum was developed by the schitsu'umsh (Coeur d'Alene) Tribe for use both within the tribe and by outside educators.

The Ethnomathematics and Basketry curriculum is intended for use by social studies and math fifth grade students. Objectives for this lesson include exploration of how Salmon are traditionally caught and harvested in Native American culture. Included in the curriculum is a lesson plan pdf for educators.
