I think it'd have to be contemporary, because it doesn't look lie anything the Yakama's would make. But it does look older. It looks like they stored something in it. I do know know what, but it could be cleaned out. It might be those little worm skins. This could be a wedding gift too, but not really any purpose other than for storage; a decorative storage as you could call it. I don't know who identified it as Yakama, but it could be. Just that it is unusual. I would have called it lower West Coast, which are so close to looking like Yakama. Vivian Adams
