Studio portrait of (from left to right) hímiin maqsmáqs (Yellow Wolf), Thomas Lindsay, Ha-Wa-No-Ilp-Ilp (First-Red-Feather-on-the-Wing), Crow Blanket, and George Comedown in traditional dress with tim’úuni (rifles). Tipyahlahnah Elassanin (George Comedown or Thundering Eagle) was a warrior in Lamáta (The Battle of White Bird Canyon). Crow Blanket was a Nez Perce warrior and a part of wal'wáama (Chief Joseph's band) during the War of 1877. First-Red-Feather-on-the-Wing was a Nez Perce warrior who gave L.V. McWhorter and account of the Lamáta (Battle of White Bird Canyon).
