piyopyóot’alikt (Chief Peo-Peo Tholekt) in traditional dress, headdress and warrior stick holding out his right arm. piyopyóot’alikt (Peo-Peo Tholekt or Bird Alighting) was a young Nez Perce warrior in the War of 1877. He distinguished himself during the takeover of Mountain Howitzer and the c'aynim 'alikinwaaspa (Battle of Snake Creek).
