Older Nez Perce couple standing in front of teepee. lepít híisemtuks (Two Moons) was a Nez Perce warrior in tribal wars and the war of 1877. His wife helped in battle by unbuckling the cartridge belts of dead and wounded soldiers to provide ammunition for her fighting husband.
