He is standing outside in the center of the photograph, wearing an eye patch. There are two unidentified men standing on either side of him. Black Eagle was a young warrior at the c'aynim 'alikinwaaspa (Battle of Bear Paw) and escaped taking refuge with Sitting Bull in Canada.
