Photograph of 4 men beside a tipi, circa 1905

Description:

Four Native American men reclining by a copy of a tipi (teepee). A traditional tipi's walls were constructed of woven mats, layered across the poles. This tipi's walls are fashioned out of canvas. Behind this tipi is a two-story building that may be a church. A group of women sit in a buggy off to the right of the structure. The area has been identified as somewhere on the Nespelem District of the Colville Indian Reservation.
