Oblong, water tight basket made of light colored cedar root with natural brown and black dyed willow root interwoven in a continuous "V" design with diamond shapes interspersed. The top opening is nearly round with six scattered edge scallops. Technique: imbrication, height: 9 1/2"; width at widest point: 8 7/16", William Manning organized his collection by categories listing this basket in the category: Hard Weave Baskets and noting its origin as a "Yakima Meat Cooking Basket."
